SPC Released Third Batch of Typical Cases on Mediation in Foreign-Related Commercial and Maritime Disputes
On April 16, 2026, the Supreme People’s Court (SPC) released the third batch of typical cases on mediation in foreign-related commercial and maritime disputes. The six cases involve issues such as cross-border investment, equity transfers, sales contracts, ship operation management, maritime salvage, and the recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards. The cases involve parties from countries including South Korea, Italy, Denmark, Yemen, and Portugal. These cases showcase the efforts of Chinese courts to resolve foreign-related disputes via mediation, represented by the excellent traditional Chinese culture of He (harmony), and the Fengqiao Experience in the new era, to support high-level opening-up and promote high-quality marine development.
