Since 2022, CMAC has held the “CMAC Cup” Maritime and Commercial Arbitration Essay Competition on an annual basis, together with a seminar on “Cultivation and Career Planning for Foreign-related Legal Talents”. The CMAC Cup has received long-term support from universities across China, as well as an enthusiastic response to submissions from participants affiliated universities, law firms, arbitration institutions, people’s courts at all levels, and other relevant bodies. Selected award-winning papers have, upon recommendation, been published in the China Review of Maritime and Commercial Arbitration, garnering extensive attention and high praise from the industry. CMAC will host the 5th CMAC Cup in 2026. The requirements are as follows:

Researchers and practitioners from universities, people’s courts at all levels, law firms, arbitration institutions, and research institutions.

[Topics]

The latest development in arbitration theory and practice.

Contributors may determine the topics themselves.

[Submission Guidelines] Manuscripts should be no less than 8,000 words and generally no more than 20,000 words; Both Chinese and English submissions are acceptable, with Chinese as the preferred language. Each manuscript must be accompanied by an abstract (200-300 words) and 3-5 keywords, in both Chinese and English respectively. Manuscripts must be unpublished and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Authors shall strictly abide by academic norms; plagiarism, misappropriation of others’ work and multiple submissions of the same manuscript are strictly prohibited. Authors are solely responsible for the content of their submissions. All citations and annotations in the manuscript shall comply with the prescribed referencing standards and be uniform, complete and standardized.

[Author Information] Author’s basic information including name, affiliated institution, age, major, academic degree, research field, mobile phone number and other contact details, must be indicated in a footnote of the manuscript. Only single-author manuscripts will be accepted.
