The 16th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress passed the newly revised Anti-Unfair Competition Law of the People's Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as the "Anti-Unfair Competition Law") on June 27, which will come into force on October 15, 2025.
The newly revised Anti-Unfair Competition Law includes five chapters: General Provisions, Unfair Competition Conducts, Investigation of Suspected Unfair Competition, Legal Liability, and Supplementary Provisions. The law stipulates that the state shall improve the anti-unfair competition rules and system, strengthen anti-unfair competition law enforcement and justice, maintain the order of market competition, and improve a unified, open, competitive and orderly market system.
