CMAC Visits Hong Kong Special Administrative Region with the CCPIT Delegation
From December 8 to 10, 2024, Ren Hongbin, Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and China Maritime Arbitration Commission (CMAC) led a delegation to visit Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (Hong Kong). Vice Chairman and Secretary General of CMAC, Li Hu, and CMAC delegation accompanied.
During the visit, Ren attended and addressed 2024 Hong Kong-Mainland Joint Business Liaison Committee Meeting and Round-table Meeting of Business Associations and Enterprises in Hong Kong, met with John Lee Ka-chiu, Chief Executive of Hong Kong, Qi Bin, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Hong Kong, and engaged in extensive discussions with Peter K N Lam, Chairman of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and members of the Hong Kong business community, as well as visited major companies, including Jardine Matheson, Swire, and Cathay Pacific for research purposes.

During the visit in Hong Kong, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of CMAC Li Hu and CMAC delegation also visited ReedSmith LLP, Hong Kong Chamber of Shipping, eBRAM International Online Dispute Resolution Centre (eBRAM), Dla Piper Hong Kong Office, the Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization Hong Kong Regional Arbitration Centre (AALCO Hong Kong Regional Arbitration Centre) , and China Merchants Energy Shipping Co., Ltd., exchanged perspectives on issues related to legal risk prevention and dispute resolution as well as corporate compliance Chinese enterprises in the process of "go global".
