CMAC Attended International Shipping Center Development Forum
On September 10, the International Shipping Center Development Forum, organized by the Shanghai International Shipping Center Development Promotion Association and co-hosted by the Shanghai Arbitration Commission, Shanghai Maritime University, and CMAC Shanghai Headquarters, was held in Shanghai. The theme of the Forum was Promoting Innovation in Maritime Arbitration Rules and Building a World-Class Arbitration Institution. Li Hu, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of CMAC, was invited to attend the forum and delivered a keynote speech.
Focusing on the innovation of maritime arbitration rules and combining recent arbitration practices of CMAC, Li Hu stated in his speech that to effectively implement principles of the third plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), it is necessary to practice first and continuously promote the improvement of the arbitration system; improve the arbitration work mechanism and diversify dispute resolution; and actively promote rule innovation and deepen institutional management reform.
At the signing ceremony for the new members and advisory units joining the Yangtze River Economic Belt Shipping Arbitration Institution Alliance, Huang Chenliang, Deputy Secretary-General of CMAC Shanghai Headquarters, signed the agreement on behalf of CMAC.
CMAC will strengthen collaboration with arbitration institutions nationwide, work together to promote the improvement of the arbitration system, advance arbitration rules innovation, strive to build a world-class arbitration institution, and contribute to the development of global shipping trade.
