CMAC Visited Republic of Korea with CCPIT Delegation
From May 26 to May 29, Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and President of the China Chamber of International Commerce, led a delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs to visit Republic of Korea. Li Hu, Vice Chairman of CMAC, and the group accompanied the delegation.
On the morning of May 27, the Eighth China-Japan-ROK Business Summit was held in Seoul, Republic of Korea. Premier of the State Council Li Qiang of PRC, President Yoon Suk-yeol of ROK, and Prime Minister Fumio Kishida of JPN attended the summit and delivered speeches.
Ren Hongbin delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the Summit. He stated that this year marks the 25th anniversary of the China-Japan-ROK trilateral cooperation and the 15th anniversary of the China-Japan-ROK Business Summit. Under the joint efforts of the political and business communities of the three countries, China-Japan-ROK cooperation has become the multilateral cooperation framework with the highest degree of institutionalization, the widest coverage and the richest connotation in East Asia, and the China-Japan-ROK Business Summit has become a crucial platform for business communities to deepen pragmatic cooperation.
During the Summit, business representatives from China, Japan, and the ROK carried out in-depth discussions around economic revitalization, sustainable development and other issues. On behalf of the business communities of the three countries, Ren Hongbin, together with Chey Tae-won, Chairman of the KCCI, and Masakazu Tokura, Chairman of the KEIDANREN, signed the Joint Statement of the 8th China-Japan-ROK Business Summit.
Li Hu, Vice Chairman of CMAC, Zheng We, Deputy Director of the Legal Department of CCPIT, and other representatives attended the summit and engaged in extensive business exchanges with representatives from the business communities of China, Japan, and ROK.
On the afternoon of May 27, the Republic of Korea (ROK)-China Business Leaders Forum and the second China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) Roadshow were successfully held in Seoul, the capital of the ROK. Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Xing Haiming, Chinese Ambassador to the ROK, Lee In-ho, Vice Chairman of the Korea International Trade Association, Yoo Myung-hee, former Trade Minister at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of the ROK, and Ji Yongmo, Chairman of the Korea-China Private Sector Economic Cooperation Forum, attended and addressed the event. More than 200 representatives from chambers of commerce and associations as well as enterprises of both countries participated in the forum..
During the visit to Republic of Korea, Li Hu, Vice Chairman of CMAC, and his team held work exchanges with relevant officials from the Korean Arbitrators Association and Korea Maritime University, and visited many local universities and legal service institutions.
