IBA Released 2024 Edition of Guidelines on Conflicts of Interest in International Arbitration
The International Bar Association (IBA) Guidelines on Conflicts of Interest in International Arbitration was recently revised for the second time since their publication in 2004. The new version, which is based upon an earlier questionnaire to a wide range of international commercial and investment arbitration practitioners and other stakeholders, retains the basic framework of the 2014 version and responds to a number of issues that have been hotly debated in recent years, including third-party funding, forms of legal organisation in different jurisdictions, expert witnesses, and so on.
