On November 8, 2023, the award ceremony of the second “CMAC Cup” Essay Contest--The seminar on “Foreign Legal Personnel Training and Career Planning” was held at Xiamen. The seminar was hosted by CMAC, organized CMAC Maritime Silk Road Arbitration Center and School of Law Xiamen University, and supported by Maritime Silk Road Central Legal FTZ, Xiamen Lawyers Association and CCPIT Xiamen committee.

Dr. Li Hu, Vice Chairman of CMAC, pointed out in his opening speech that in order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the important directive on strengthening the training of foreign-related legal talents, and implement the requirements of the Notice on the Implementation of the Foreign-related Arbitration Personnel Training Program issued by CCPIT, the Ministry of Justice and other six ministries and commissions, CMAC has organized the "CMAC Cup" Essay Contest every year since 2021, and also held the“Foreign Legal Personnel Training and Career Planning” communication meeting to focuse on bringing together young arbitration legal talents, and provide high-quality and efficient dispute resolution services and professional think tank support for the development of export-oriented economy. With the establishment of  CMAC Maritime Silk Road Arbitration Center, CMAC will strengthen cooperation with Xiamen University School of Law and other relevant universities and practical departments, and jointly commit to the training of foreign-related rule of law talents, so as to promote the high-quality development of  China arbitration, and build a new future for the development of international arbitration.

In the signing ceremony, Dr. Li Hu, Vice Chairman of CMAC, and Song Fangqing, Dean of Xiamen University School of Law, signed the agreement on joint training of postgraduate students of LLM degree (International Arbitration) on behalf of their respective organizations.

In the award ceremony, Dr. Li Hu, Vice Chairman of CMAC, presented award certificates to the authors of the winning papers. The winners of the paper shared their acceptance speech and introduced the writing background, content design and practical significance of the paper to the audience.

The award ceremony also held a "Foreign Legal Personnel Training and Career Planning" communication meeting. During the meeting, the students have shown strong interest in the topics and asked questions about the current concerns of law school students, such as the ability needs of foreign-related legal talents, and the experts gave positive answers.
