On March 16, 2023, Dr. LI Hu, Vice Chairman of CMAC,and HUANG Wei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch, visited China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration(CFLPA). DU Zhanyuan, Director General of CFLPA, warmly met with Dr.LI Hu and Deputy Secretary HUANG Wei, welcomed CMAC delegation, and the discussions and views exchanged between two institutions mainly on strengthening international communication and telling Chinese stories well.

LIU Dawei, Deputy Director General of CPLPACFLPA attended the meeting and led the delegation to the History Exhibition of CPLPA.

Deputy Director LIU Dawei presided over a business exchange meeting, which was attended by the heads of the International Cooperation Division, Planning and Finance Division and XU Fang International Media of China Foreign Languages Bureau. Deputy Director General LIU Dawei said that external propaganda and foreign trade work share the same goals and intrinsic attributes, CPLPA takes telling Chinese stories and spreading Chinese voices as its mission, and CMAC serves the needs of Chinese enterprises to “go global” and build a maritime power, and is committed to building China into an authoritative dispute resolution place preferred by both sides of international trade. In the future, it is hoped that Xu Fang International Media will give full play to its professional advantages in new media, coordinate the resources of the Foreign Languages Bureau, provide full-format support services for the external communication work of CMAC, and help tell the story of Chinese arbitration.

Vice Chairman LI Hu thanked CPLPA for its warm reception and briefly introduced the historical heritage, functions and responsibilities and career development of CMAC. He said that CMAC is committed to providing high-quality, professional and authoritative services to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of both Chinese and foreign parties under the settlement of international shipping and trade disputes in accordance with the laws. As one of the four main business lines of CCPIT, commercial legal services with arbitration as an important element need to be further innovated and developed under the new situation and new pattern. This is not only the historical mission of CMAC, but also a necessary measure to build a maritime power. It is hoped that in the future, CPLPA and CMAC will strengthen business discussions and carry out in-depth cooperation, jointly tell the story of Chinese arbitration to the outside world, and enhance the international influence of Chinese arbitration.

At the exchange meeting, WANG Xinling, Executive Deputy General Manager of XU Fang International Media, introduced Xufang's innovative achievements in gathering foreign bloggers to tell Chinese stories, using new media technology to promote innovation in external propaganda products, and improving international communication efficiency through cooperation with foreign media. The person in charge of the International Cooperation Department of CPLPA introduced the relevant situation of CPLPA's international exchange and cooperation.
