Guangdong Maritime Safety Administration has recently launched an innovative service for transfer of vessel registration in the Greater Bay Area. Since 4 July 2022, vessels to Greater Bay Area can be re-registered without suspending navigation, which breaks the regional restrictions and saves the time and cost. The ship owner can apply for the transfer of vessel registration at the new and old ship registration ports in Greater Bay Area, and the maritime authorities will issue certificates simultaneously.
