The 2nd Seminar on Guangdong-Hong Kong-Marco Greater Bay Area Alternative Dispute Resolution Held Successfully in Guangzhou

On the afternoon of May 15, 2025, the 2nd Seminar on Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Alternative Dispute Resolution (hereinafter referred to as the "Seminar") was successfully held in Huangpu, Guangzhou. The Seminar was hosted by the China Maritime Arbitration Commission (hereinafter referred to as "CMAC") Greater Bay Area Arbitration Center (South China Branch) (hereinafter referred to as "Greater Bay Area Arbitration Center"), and jointly supported by CAMC, Guangzhou Development Zone Management Committee, Guangzhou Huangpu District People's Government and Guangzhou Port Authority. With the theme of "Alternative Dispute Resolution in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area", nearly 20 experts from the arbitration and industry community across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area were invited to discuss and exchange views on three topics: "Innovation of Arbitration System Rules""Hot Legal Issues in Shipping Insurance" and "Legal Risk Prevention and Dispute Resolution of Chinese Enterprises 'Go Global'".

The seminar focused on hot topics in the industry such as arbitration system innovation, shipping law and cross-border risk prevention, responded to the needs of dispute resolution in the new era, and achieved complete success with rich exchange results. By building an exchange mechanism, CMAC and its Greater Bay Area Arbitration Center will continue to actively participate in promoting cooperation between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, strengthening industry coordination, enhancing the international influence of regional arbitration legal services, and working with relevant institutions in the Greater Bay Area to jointly write an alternative dispute resolution "Bay Area Plan" to escort the high-quality development of the regional economy.
